Projeto solo do genial Mike Kinsella (que já tocou em inúmeras bandas de Chicago, como Cap'n Jazz, Joan Of Arc, Owl e American Football), Owen mostra como se faz música acústica boa como poucos. Iniciado em 2001, o projeto Owen, que já tem quatro álbuns lançados, além dos EP's, consegue equilibrar melodias suaves e violões com teclados e guitarras, tendo um som singular em meio a muito lixo "folk".
